Dr. Gartland is an Associate Professor for Rockhurst University. He teaches classes in Strategy Analysis, International Business & Strategy, Managerial & International Economics, and Health Services Administration.
He is also the Program Cirriculum Coordinator of the School of Management's Health Care Leadership programs. Dr. Gartland teaches in all four of the Helzberg School of Management degree programs; undergraduate business administration, MBA, MBA in Health Care, and Executive MBA.
Although formally trained as an economist, Dr. Gartland is primarily interested in strategic analysis, international strategy, and globalization of services. He has written extensively on the health care industry and the brewing industry.
In addition, he consults with many companies on statistical and market
research projects. He is affiliated with both Insightful Analytics and
The Dochterman Group Healthcare Management Counsulting. Prior to
academia, Dr. Gartland spent 12 years as a health care industry
executive.
Dr. Gartland has been appointed a Fulbright Scholar for 2009-2010.
