Thomas Lyon is a Professor Emeritus in the Helzberg School of Management, Rockhurst University.
Dr. Lyon received his doctorate from the University of Missouri-Columbia. His teaching interest include finance, entrepreneurship, and strategy.
He is an active consultant, facilitator, and seminar presenter for both large corporations and small and emerging businesses; has been a member of public and private boards; has facilitated a bi-monthly board of small business owners; and has written numerous articles and cases on financial management, performance measurement, emerging growth companies and strategy.
He is actively involved in Case writing and research. He has been interim Dean, Division and Department chair, and director and chair of the MBA and the Executive MBA Programs at Rockhurst University.
He has worked with the Kauffman Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership on developing education and training programs supporting entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial growth both locally and nationally.
