Gerald L. Miller holds a doctorate in economics from the University of Notre Dame. A former United Telecommunications Faculty Fellow, Dr. Miller has also been honored as a Schmitt Fellow at the University of Notre Dame, a General Electric Fellow at the University of Chicago, the George and Gladys Miller Chair at Rockhurst University and the John J. and Laura J. Sullivan Chair in Business Ethics at Rockhurst University.

Professional & Administrative
Miller has held numerous administrative positions during his 26 years at Rockhurst University, including Department Chair, Division Chair, Assistant Dean, Associate Dean and Director of the Institute of Social Justice. He has received both the Outstanding Faculty Member of the Year Award, voted upon by the students, and the Rockhurst University Teaching Excellence Award, chosen by faculty peers, in addition to the Harry B. Kies Award for Outstanding Service to the University.

Research & Publications
Dr. Miller is co-editor of the first book published by the Rockhurst University Press, Catholicism At The Millennium [2001], as well as author of Catholic Social Teaching at the Millennium: The Human Condition in Light of the Gospel.
